The Turner Foundation: Empower and Mentor Youth and Young Adults

Date/Time: Based on Volunteer Availability

The Foundation House program provides transitional housing for unhoused young adults (18-24) for up to two years. Using a housing-first model, it offers safety, stability, and personalized support through case management, skills workshops, and community resources. Youth receive guidance in education, employment, health, and financial stability, with aftercare planning to support their transition to independent living.

The Turner Foundation Community Learning Centers offer a range of services and support to the Village and Lighthouse residential communities. We serve the students with an After School Program (for ages 6-18), which provides daily tutoring and enrichment. We also serve all of the families and residents through advocacy, housing needs, and community-building events.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Share Your Skills & Mentor Youth

Do you have a skill, trade, or passion to share? We’re looking for volunteers to teach teens and young adults at our West Learning Center and Foundation Houses in areas like mental health, culinary arts, auto mechanics, financial literacy, self-defense, career planning, and more.

Career Mentorship & Job Assistance

Help guide youth, teens, and parents on their career paths through job application support, career workshops, and mentorship opportunities.

Flexible Scheduling: Dates and times are TBD based on your availability. Turner Foundation staff will coordinate with you to find the best fit.
