Grow Through A Sacrifice

Someone once said "discipleship is taking people where they don't want to go." Nobody loves to be stretched, nobody chooses to be uncomfortable just for fun. But it is the way we grow, the way our faith grows, the way we make an impact in this world. We need to keep encouraging and cheering each other on to sacrifice and stretch for others. We can practice this in so many ways. It could mean sacrificing resources to make room at your table, it could be sacrificing time to serve your neighbor, it could be giving an hour a week to read to underprivileged kids or serve food at the park with us. It could also be running or biking to raise money and awareness for clean water.

We want to invite you to be part of a team of people who are going to be stretched for the cause of Christ these next 5 months through Team World Vision. This is a call to be stretched together, to endure pain physically, and to humbly ask others to support kids who are dying because they don't have water. We aren't going to sugar coat it. It's HARD, BUT it is also beautiful to experience God's goodness and pleasure through it, and to see the impact that is made for the kids in the D.R. Congo and here in our community. Do you want to step out in faith and trust God more in your life? - this is an awesome next step! I am fired up to take it with you.

For just $50 you can bring a kid clean water for life! This can change the trajectory of their life and community. We have an profound opportunity to absorb some of the suffering of others, through just a few months of effort and sacrifice! Will you pray about and consider joining our team to absorb some of the suffering in the world and trust God that He will carry you through it? You can run, walk or ride, do the half marathon, the full or the century ride. You can raise $50, $5000, or $50,000. There is no pressure and tons of encouragement along the way! Check out this video below for more inspiration! Sign up here today! If you have any questions email us!

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday as we begin a new series on "The Good & Beautiful God" as we look at Psalm 23. Invite a friend to come join us! 10am at the Marjorie Luke Theater.

In it together,

Pastor Jono Shaffer

"There’s a lot of suffering to be entered into in this world—the kind of suffering Christ takes on. I welcome the chance to take my share in the church’s part of that suffering." Col 1:24-25
