Meet The Staff

Jon Ireland, Lead Pastor

jon@oceanhills.org

Jon is the founding Pastor and team leader at Ocean Hills. Originally from the Bay Area, Jon has been in ministry in Santa Barbara since 1985. He has been married to his wife Nathalie for over 30 years, and they have one daughter, Shannon, who is currently attending Westmont College. Jon uses adventure trips (climbing the Matterhorn, river rafting in Costa Rica, biking the Big Island in Hawaii, and golfing at St. Andrews to name a few) as part of his ministry to mentor next-generation leaders. Although he is well known for some of the high profile celebrity weddings he has done, his ministry passions are teaching God's Word and using his influence to help raise awareness (swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco, Santa Barbara Triathlon, upcoming LA Marathon in March 2014) to help bring clean water and better education to children in the Congo. Jon earned both his Master's of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary.
